Solod Kaw: The call of Marihangin to divest from corporations and invest in their community

This new report from Fair Finance Philippines shows the continuing struggle of the residents of Marihangin Island to fight for their ancestral lands, and their hope for a better future that upholds their culture, traditions, and indigenous rights as they call for investments towards their own community-based development plan.

Fair Finance Philippines, with SAMBILOG - Balik Bugsuk Movement and PAKISAMA, urges financial institutions and potential investors to divest from projects that disrupt Indigenous Peoples from their traditional means of living and displace Indigenous communities from their ancestral lands such as San Miguel Corporation's ecotourism development project.
