Rabobank facilitates lobbying of Brazilian deforesters with billions

New research by the Dutch Fair Bank Guide, in collaboration with the Brazilian research collective Olho de Ruralistas has found that Rabobank, ING and ABN AMRO provided almost $2 billion (between 2019 and 2023) to 18 key players in the agrilobby in Brazil. Rabobank is by far the largest financier with 86%, facilitating deforestation, environmental pollution and human rights violations in Brazil. 

Furthermore, throughout the first year of Lula's presidency, the big agrilobby has thwarted important initiatives to improve environmental standards and social rights.
